I was lucky enough to shoot Yvonne & Chris' wedding day back in June of this year, and I'm honestly still thinking about it now!
These guys have been in love for a long time, share a gorgeous son (shout out to Henry!) and had the most real and beautiful wedding. We were able to sit down together a few weeks prior to the wedding to catch up and I knew instantly these guys would have a special place in my heart.
The big day started at St Georges Hall, a venue that I love to shoot at (more about that at a later date) where I joined Chris and their closest friends and family in the Sefton room. This was such an intimate ceremony and it was so nice to get to know everyone whilst we waited for Yvonne to arrive. And arrive she did! Looking absolutely stunning in a sleek white dress, Yvonne was walked down the aisle by her & Chris' son, and it was one of my favourite wedding moments of all time. There was a really palpable feeling of love between these guys and I don't think there was a dry eye in the house.
Post ceremony we headed out into the bright Liverpool sunshine for group shots and big congrats all round. The grand pillars & sweeping steps of St Georges Hall make for a really perfect backdrop.

In the evening it was on to the wonderful Hope Street Hotel for an amazing shindig. Yvonne & Chris really wanted that night time party feel, and the low lighting a intimacy of the residents lounge created the perfect feel. With entertainment from Truly Medley Deeply and a dance floor to die for, the bride, groom and their guests celebrated into the night. I was booked to stick around for some evening party shots and I am so glad, because there were some truly unmissable moments, including Henry taking to the mic like an absolute pro.

I often feel incredibly blessed to be able to use my photography to capture the best days of peoples lives, and it's weddings & couples like Yvonne and Chris that make me fall in love with my job again & again. A real life slice of magic.
