In November last year we all headed up to the gorgeous New House Farm in Cockermouth to celebrate the wedding of Jade & Andy, and what a celebration it was!

I arrived bright and early for bridal prep to find Andy about to jump into the lake for a pre wedding swim. The perfect way to set himself up for the most incredible day.

With a bustling team of make up artists led by the incredible Leonie Canniffe MUA, hair by Beth from house of hair, Content from Cumbria creator, an army of gorgeous Bridesmaids, Jades mum and children and myself onboard, it was a crazy wonderful prep morning!

Once everyone was made up and ready to go, we crossed the courtyard to New house Farm's stunning ceremony room, where music was being provided by my absolute favourite wedding musicians The Hope Street busking band. There was not a dry eye in the house as Jade & Andy's sons led the procession, followed by the beautiful bridesmaids and finally Jade and her lovely dad.

The ceremony itself was warm and full of light and laughter. Jade & Andy have loved each other for such a long time, and that radiated out of every part of the day.

Post ceremony we headed outside for more photos, with the amazing views of the fells behind us. For an incredible backdrop, New House farm is hard to beat. Whilst guests sipped champagne and congratulated the happy couple, we worked through our group shots, and plenty of lovely candid moments too. Jade & Andy had perfected the colour pallet for the day, and every detail was feast for the eyes.

The next part of the day was one I will remember for a long time to come. Jade, Andy and there two boys were collected in a fabulous Landrover, and together we took a short drive to where the lake meets the fells and opens out before you into the most incredible vista. We spent some time capturing shots of Jade & Andy's lovely family, as well as some stunning couples portraits and taking a moment to marvel in Jades fantastic dress.

Back at New House Farm it was time for dinner to be served, kicked off with some heart felt speeches and a very special singalong for Jade's dad's birthday. And after that? Party time! With evening music also provided by The Hope Street busking band, the dancefloor was packed all night and the good times really rolled.

There were so many things that made this wedding so very special. The warmth of love Jade & Andy both show to their children, the pride on the faces of their friends and family, the thoughtful way they had put together their day. And as I packed by gear down at the end of the night, I knew this edit would be a one that would fill me with joy for a long time to come.
